This Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) was sitting on the corner of our garage roof when I arrived home from a run. I dashed inside and grabbed my camera and managed to get a couple of shots before it took off. Hopefully it didn’t fly into something after being blinded by my flash!
My daughter and I went outside to pick some tomatoes for our lunch and found this frog on our patio. It wasn’t the easiest thing to photograph, as although it was quite small (as can be seen in the next photo), it can and did jump quite far!
Both photo’s were taken with a Nikon D200 and a 60mm f2.8 AF Micro Nikkor.
